New York Times Book Review, 291 polisiye ve gerilim yazarı, editör, kitapçı, kütüphaneci ve eleştirmenin oylarıyla hazırlanan “The 50 Best Thriller Books of the 21st Century” listesini yayımladı.
Listenin zirvesinde Gone Girl (Kayıp Kız) romanı yer aldı. Flynn’i, İsveçli yazar Stieg Larsson’ın The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Ejderha Dövmeli Kız) ve Dennis Lehane’in Shutter Island (Zindan Adası) izledi. Stephen King ve Dan Brown gibi dünyaca ünlü yazarlar listede dikkati çekti. Listedeki birçok romanın sinemaya veya diziye uyarlanması da dikkat çekici ayrı bir konu oldu.
