Teoman Dural\u0131, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de felsefeyi medeniyet, bilim ve dil meseleleriyle birlikte d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnen en \u00f6zg\u00fcn isimlerden biridir. \u00d6zellikle \u201c\u00e7a\u011fda\u015f k\u00fcresel Bat\u0131 medeniyeti\u201d kavramsalla\u015ft\u0131rmas\u0131, bilim felsefesi \u00fczerine \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 ve T\u00fcrk\u00e7eyi bir felsefe dili olarak i\u015fleme \u00e7abas\u0131yla temay\u00fcz etmi\u015ftir. Akademik \u00fcretkenli\u011fi, kurdu\u011fu kavram \u00e7er\u00e7evesi ve \u00f6\u011frencileri \u00fczerindeki etkisiyle son d\u00f6nem T\u00fcrk d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce hayat\u0131nda belirleyici bir fig\u00fcrd\u00fcr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1947 y\u0131l\u0131nda Zonguldak\u2019\u0131n Kozlu il\u00e7esinde do\u011fdu. Babas\u0131 T\u00fcrk, annesi Alman\u2019d\u0131r. \u00c7ift dil \u00f6\u011frenerek b\u00fcy\u00fcyen Dural\u0131, zamanla bir\u00e7ok dili \u00f6\u011frendi ve ba\u015fka k\u00fclt\u00fcrl\u00fc tan\u0131ma hevesi artt\u0131. Teoman Dural\u0131, ilkokulu Zonguldak’ta, ortaokul ve liseyi Ted Ankara Koleji’nde tamamlad\u0131. 1973 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u0130stanbul \u00dcniversitesi Edebiyat Fak\u00fcltesi’nin felsefe b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcnden mezun oldu. 1975 y\u0131l\u0131nda bu b\u00f6l\u00fcmde asistanl\u0131\u011fa ba\u015flad\u0131. 1977 y\u0131l\u0131nda felsefe doktoru oldu. May\u0131s 1982\u2019de yard\u0131mc\u0131 do\u00e7ent, Ekim 1982\u2019de do\u00e7ent unvan\u0131n\u0131 ald\u0131.1988 y\u0131l\u0131nda ise profes\u00f6r oldu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Teoman Dural\u0131\u2019n\u0131n dersleri ve konferanslar\u0131, sistematik ama irtical\u00ee ak\u0131\u015f\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc bir anlat\u0131m tarz\u0131na sahipti. Kavramlar\u0131 tarihsel k\u00f6kenleriyle ele al\u0131r; Aristoteles\u2019ten \u0130bn Haldun\u2019a, Kant\u2019tan Darwin\u2019e kadar geni\u015f bir yelpazede d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcrleri birlikte tart\u0131\u015f\u0131rd\u0131. \u00d6\u011frencileri \u00fczerinde derin bir etki b\u0131rakm\u0131\u015f; T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de medeniyet merkezli d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnme bi\u00e7iminin yayg\u0131nla\u015fmas\u0131na katk\u0131da bulunmu\u015ftur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
